The Home Course (home course for PNGA/WSGA), located in
Dupont, WA.
In an interview with the course manager, Director of
Golf, Ron Hagen, the following was discussed:
There are no plans for on-course houses.
There are no plans for on-course accommodations. A stay/play package with local motel(s) is
being discussed.
There will not be non-resident-specific rates.
Reciprocal (reduced) rates with all GHIN clubs members
(Western states).
The course layout is in its final form. The course has 5 sets of men’s tees. From the White tees the course is rated at
69.3 with 123 slope.
The course was designed dry to play all year.
The Fairway grass is Rye and the Greens are Bent.
The course has contacted Sky Caddie golf for GPS course
measurement.
The course is walk able with a total walking distance of
just under 10,000 yards. The course has
minimal elevation changes.
Golf power carts: Temporary
rental fleet is old gas carts. The first
new rental fleet will also be gas, with future plans to replace all with
electric carts. Plans are to have some
with doors for winter.
Clubhouse plans:
Temporary clubhouse to be built by March 2008, with a permanent
clubhouse within 5 years.
With the current parking lot design, RV parking and
auto/golf cart trailer parking is limited to far end of parking lot, if space
available (no in-line double spaces).
